My Story

For nearly 50 years, collecting, creating, and giving old things new life has been part of my story. My late husband and I spent 48 years together collecting vintage furniture, household goods, antiques, and the little treasures that make a house feel like home. What began as a shared love of old things became a lifetime of memories—and now, as a newly widowed woman, I am bringing a dream we once shared to life. I am a retired nurse practitioner, but I have never really retired from creating. I quilt, make handcrafted pieces, love to read, and have a particular fondness for finding vintage treasures and imagining new ways to display and use them.

I love the art of staging—the way an old piece, a bit of greenery, and something unexpected can come together and tell a story. My roots run deep in the country. I grew up on a farm, working alongside my father from childhood. I also raised lambs to help pay my way through nursing school. Those early years taught me the value of hard work, resourcefulness, and appreciating what you have. I also began my love of antiquing and restoring alongside my mother, who was my inspiration. She taught me how to see beauty in what others might overlook and how to bring new life to old things.

Today, I live in the three-story country home our family moved to and completely restored—a home we literally saved from the wrecking ball and the landfill. We moved it from the city limits out to our country site, giving it a second chance at life. Now it stands filled with the vintage pieces, handmade treasures, and memories that have shaped my life. I am blessed with three children and ten grandchildren who are the lights of my life. This pop-up shop is more than a place to sell vintage finds and handmade goods. It is a way of carrying forward a lifetime of collecting, creating, restoring, and remembering—and sharing the things I love with others. Welcome to my little corner of the past, where old things have stories, handmade things have heart, and there is always another treasure waiting to be discovered.
